The Compassion Center opened it’s doors in November 2000. We are a Faith Based 501 (c) (3) non-profit that funds it’s mission primarily through donations and grants.
We desire to serve the people in our community and the surrounding areas who have a need – physical, emotional, relational or spiritual – regardless of their race, religion, or ability to pay.
The 9th Annual Run/Walk to Feed the Hungry 5k Turkey Trot. Come out Thanksgiving morning to help feed the hungry in Baker County before sitting down to your own Thanksgiving dinners.
Thursday November 22nd
Start Time: 9:00 AM Sharp! Race starts at “Kicks” on Main St.
Cost is $10 per person. All proceeds go to feed the hungry in Baker and surrounding areas.
*Register before Monday 11/5 by 8 pm and receive a FREE Official Race T-Shirt!!

* Mail-in registration must be received by 11/17/2018 or simply bring the completed form with you race day morning.
****Please bring a non-perishable food item with you to the race start to help fill the needs of our food bank!! (Bring can goods, dry box goods, cereal, etc… Thank you!)
There will be same day registration at “Kicks” from 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM.
Save time race day morning by bringing your already filled forms from above or register online! You can also pick up entry packets at “Kicks” on Main St. Nov. 23rd from 12PM-6PM.
All Registrants Receive a FREE Official race T-Shirt!! (If Registered by 11/5 at 8 pm)
Yes! All participants get to run/walk & help feed the hungry and qualify for prizes and get a free race shirt if you register early… all for only $10!
5K (3.1 miles) Starts at Kicks on Main St. and heads north towards Hughes Lane on quiet neighborhood streets and returns on the Leo Adler Parkway. Then finishes on Main St.
So come out and run or walk rain or shine.
Aid Station & Post Race Food
Water, Sorbenots Coffee, and hot chocolate will be available at the turn around point and the finish. There will also be post-race food and refreshments. Plus, if you run really fast there will be prizes!
TOP THREE OVERALL FINISHERS
Prizes will be awarded to the top three, individual, overall men and women in the 5K Run & top three in the Team category. Top men & women winners win a watch from J. Tabor Jewelers! Plus a prize for Best Costumes will be awarded. So go fast!
Organize a group of friends, family, or coworkers and have a great time while supporting a good cause. Teams consist of a group of 5 to 10 runners or walkers. Each team needs to designate a captain and choose a team name. Matching outfits or costumes are encouraged.
*Team members are only eligible to win Team Prizes, not individual Prizes.
